Now we must upgrade to a newer Version of Windows 10 because 1511 is running out CBB soon - thats your specification Microsoft, and this Option is wiped away in a newer Version in the same Edition! What?! Once I had done all of this, my slideshows then started working with no issues.Sorry but that is absolutely not customer friendly to remove this Setting from PRO, because in Version 1511 of Windows 10 PRO this Setting worked, and we made our Proof of concept with that! Customizing Lock Screen was one of the requested Settings Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search and add a Dword with the name DisableBackoff and value 1 You can disable this feature in the Registry. Indexing rebuild has a built in feature which will slow it down if you are using the computer while it is indexing. This can take some time depending on your system. After selecting the drive, go to Advanced > Rebuild. My drive was then showing under Indexing Options (Remember to check Modify, Show all locations). Make sure to apply settings to subfolders and files when asked. Open File Explorer, right click the drive, Security tab, Advanced > at the top next to Owner: -Owner name- click Change. I realized that the "Owner" was set to something very weird so changed the owner to Administrators, to do this: My F drive which is a partition was not showing. Search "Indexing Options" open that up and see if your drive is showing, if it is not there, click Modify, Show all locations, check again. The problem was caused because the drive containing my pictures was not being indexed by windows. If you dont see the Windows spotlight image when youre signing in, select the Start button, then select Settings > Personalization > Lock screen. The Windows spotlight image should appear on the lock screen. There are many more fixes out there but these are the ones that where hard to find and worked for me. To test if Windows spotlight is working correctly, press Windows logo key + L to lock your device. It is a collection of different problems I found and have put together in one easy to follow place.
